Microsoft Word 2011 will not recognize fonts

I am using MS Word 2011 and when I select one of my personal fonts, instead of using it, it will default to Cambria (a Microsoft font)

I am using OSX 10.5.8

This also occurs on my MS Word 2008

I have deleted font duplicates using Font Book.

Fonts work correctly in my other apps...

Did you ever resolve this issue? I am having a ton of trouble with the same thing.

Are you using OpenType fonts or PostScript Type 1? If it's the latter, try converting one of them to TrueType format (google "postscript to truetype converter") as a test case and see if that works.

make sure you got all the latest updates (might have to do it manually on a Mac)
