I have seen some comments and stats on 1 to 4, 2 to 4 GB of Ram for the 7.1 ver of the iMac (mid 2007). So I thought it may help someone to view my post on 2GB to 3GB.

Why, because they only had 2X 2GB in stock, so I grabbed it. Took the two singles out of our second machine, put the 4 GB into that. Pulled over one of the 1GB modules into the machine which already had a single 2GB module.

It does seem snappier moving between spaces, Have not done any Video editing as of yet.

Here a few snapshots of Xbench 2GB , 3GB

I just edited this post because at first I didn't understand what you were trying to illustrate.

Did you not want to put 4GB in your mid-2007 iMac?

If anyone has a 1x2GB soDIMM in their iMac and a 1x1GB just laying around I think it would be a no brainer to pop it in.
