This is on the gaming aspect. My current mid 2009 13" MBP has bootcamp on it, I plan to play black ops on it with the 9400m graphics card. Currently it plays MW2 but it's not so good of course but playable. Will the Air be a jump in terms of gaming? I am abit worried about the 128gb storage though, because I'll put about maybe 40gb's to bootcamp and will be left with not much for OSX. Upgrading to 256gb is just too much of a price hike. 4gb ram upgrade is a must I guess because my MBP has that as well. What about the lower processor speed on the Air compared to my MBP? What you think?

Mid 2009 13" MBP vs new 13" Air? On gaming.

Similar? Doesn't the MBA have a better processor? It was a lower MHZ 1.8 vs my MBP's 2.2 but it has higher mb cache on the MBA, 6mb vs 3mb. Would that be considered better? And I've heard 320m is 2-3 times better than the 9400m. And with the flash storage won't the MBA be alot better in gaming vs the mid 2009 13" MBP?
It will be fine for gaming compared to the previous Air revisions. Most games rely on the graphics card and not the CPU. I have a M11x with a weaker CPU than the $999 MBA and I can play almost any game on medium settings at full resolution at about 30-35 fps. The new MBAs should be able to do the same at a little lower resolution and low to medium graphic tweaks.
Except it has a better GPU than 99% of laptops its size.
The MacBook Air is an anomaly, that's for sure.
I intend to buy one and play CS:S on it casually, as I play competitively and it would be nice to play at my kitchen or something. haha
