Hi there!

I was wondering about changing the HDD to an SSD on a mid 2009 Macbook. Upon a few searches, I can't find anyone doing it on a Macbook, only on pros?

Also is there any restraints on which SSD to go with?

Thanks

If you mean the white book, its super easy but it does matter which SSD you go with. Nvidia MCP79 + Sandforce SF-2281 = only Sata 1, and thats not cool. I have a PNY 240 in mine and get a full SATA 2 speeds.

I fitted an ADATA SP550 240GB SSD to my late 2009 uniboby macbook.

massive difference in speed.

My macbook was only sata 2 but was well worth it.
