I bought my iMac in August 2010 right when it was released with the intent of running Windows 7 on it with the Mac OS. I did everything needed to get bootcamp working and Windows 7 installed without issue. I had it running perfectly until late last year. All of sudden the Windows partition would no longer boot. I keep my Mac updated regularly both at an OS level and with Norton Security updates.

I tried to install the boot camp drivers and build a new partition, which I did numerous times, but I could not get to the point where Windows would install.

My basic question is this: Should I still be able to use Boot Camp on my 2010 iMac?

In case you are wondering why I want Boot Camp and not Parallels, I need direct access to the graphics hardware for a flying simulator I use, Real Flight RC Simulator. I don't want to purchase a new iMac right now, as I hope to get one of the new Mac Mini computers when (and if) released.

Thank you.
