I have a mid 2011 21.5-inch iMac that I’ve upgraded to 32GB DDR3 pc1333 memory, 512GB Samsung Pro 860 SSD, nVidia GTX 770m 3GB GPU from a Dell Alienware gaming laptop with A1312 three pipe GPU heat sink, and Intel Core i7-2600a quad core CPU.

(Before people ask why didn’t I just buy a 27” with all these specs instead spending all this money on a 21.5-inch. I got the iMac for free, and have a hair over $200 in the upgrades.)

Despite my system running under 150w, (i7: 65w, SSD: 3.5w, 770m: 75w) and removing the DVD ROM. I still feel my little 205w PSU just isn’t enough in the long run. And in my research I’ve not seen a single mention of this. Which leads me to believe it won’t work. But I’ll ask anyways….

Will the PSU from the mid 2011 27-inch iMac not work with my 21.5-inch mid 2011 iMac?

Thanks.
