Hi Folks
A while ago I had a bit of a moan about my poor but well loved Mid 2011 iMac with ssd mod not being supported in Mojave.
I have been waiting with hope of a fix of some sort from the experts and good people who frequent this site.
I do have an old mac mini Late 2012 i5 with small ssd mod running Mojave.
Well I purchased a Thunderbolt Cable Cord 2m White MD861ZM/A from ebay and connected the mini to the iMac.
The result is a very usable and stable system using the big screen on the iMac
1. I just keep iMac and mini on sleep most of the time.
2. Tap the spacebar on iMac for instant wake up.
3. Tap mini space bar to wake up.
4. Press CMD + F2 on iMac keyboard
5. Result Mojave.
6. iMac keyboard controls screen brightness and sound.
Yes a fudge but I am happy
( Well for now )
I would be interested in all your thoughts
