Mid 2011 27" iMac runs very hot

This is my 27" iMac 2011 sitting at the desktop with no apps open for about 20 minutes? Very hot or is this normal?

No user apps open does not mean something is not running.

It's a fresh install of 10.12 Sierra just installed before that screenshot was taken all I had installed was iStat

If it just installed, it's likely the OS may be indexing. You can verify this by opening Spotlight and try searching for an app. You may see 'Indexing' underneath the search.

Otherwise, you can try restart your Mac and untick the option 'reopen windows when logging back in', then see how it's running from there.

I have restarted etc, still creeps up to those temps again eventually
