I haven't used this Mac in a while, mostly because the OS, chrome, safari etc is obsolete. The goal was to get to Catalina to use OpenCore to ultimately get to Ventura. I can't find any version of OpenCore that works with 10.7.5 and from what I read that's because I need to get to Catalina. According to Mac my model supports Catalina but any attempt to perform a "software update" returns nothing available so I'm stuck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Indeed but,
App store won't open for some strange reason though I can open iTunes.
Google is outdated and unsupported, brings up the storefront page but then goes blank.
Safari 6.1.6 says it can't establish a secure connection aka blank page.
