Mid 2012 Mac Pro price?

I was wondering what a good price would be for a NIB mid 2012 mac pro? The model number is MD770LL/A and I could buy one but I have no idea how much I should pay for it.

You can get one used on ebay right now (upgraded to 16 GB ram) for $1600. I wouldn't pay much more than $2k, for sure.

Are you buying from an Authorized Apple seller or off the secondary market? The reason I ask is just because its NIB doesn't mean the warranty hasn't started. I'd hate to pay full price for a "New" computer from ebay or craigslist only to have the warranty period started 6 months ago when it was originally purchased.

Just thought you may want to consider that.
