Mid 2014 13" MacBook Pro - garbled images on Safari

Recently on various websites I've started seeing images that are scrambled. I've tried clearing the cache, resetting NVRAM, etc but the problem continues and is happening on more and more websites. Is this possibly a hardware issue (the laptop is almost 10 years old)?

I would try looking at the same images using a different browser.
Do the problems persist?

To me, that looks more like an internal video problem, than a problem with Safari...
