looking at the pics of the ram on crucial and owc has me confused.

At a guess I'd say one of those pictures, if not both, isn't of the actual RAM advertised. They probably don't take pictures of all the generic RAM- just one per RAM type and let that do. There's probably a disclaimer somewhere on the site saying "Picture may differ from actual product" or somesuch

Just laziness on the part of the webmaster, I guess. I can, however, assure you that, provided you go for either supplier's recommendation for your machine, you will get the correct RAM. They're both first-class companies.

OWC provides great RAM. I've put 4GB into my Macbook Pro and I love it. Good choice.
