My wireless mighty mouse has been disconnecting from my new iMac quite frequently. The bluetooth on the menu bar still shows the three little dots like its connected. Since I don't have another mouse to connect when this happens, I have to jump on my laptop and use screen share to "disconnect" and then reconnect the mouse. The guy at the Apple Store that sold me my computer told me that his does this a lot. I thought he was crazy. My MacBook has never done this before. I'm using the exact same mouse that I used with my MacBook.

Any suggestions? Should I call up Apple and ask them to send me a wired mighty mouse because this happens so often and send them the unused one?

Well, in the short term, go and buy a $10 wired mouse as a backup. I personally feel naked without backup equipment, especially equipment that backs up something wireless.

If your mouse is new enough, I'd just take it back to the Apple store, complain that it's malfunctioning and get an exchange. If it's too old for that, you may have some difficulty getting Apple to give you a new one.

I've had a wireless mighty mouse for about a month now and this has happened to me for the first time this evening. Quick reset of the mouse and everything is back to normal.

So far, there's nothing quick about resetting the mouse. Not even turning the mouse off and then back on works.

There's nothing wrong with the mouse I don't think. It works fine with my laptop.

Maybe it's out of batteries? I use a wireless mighty mouse and I have to change the batteries once every two weeks.

You can always turn the mouse off and on again by pushing the slider up then down, and then randomly clicking while the mouse is moving to automatically start up its connection without having to go into the system preferences.

I had numerous problems with the wireless MM (including this issue). I was never able to solve this issue, so I just got another mouse (Logitech MX Revolution). I've never had an issue with any other BT devices.

Sorry that I can;t be of more help.

Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time posting. Recently just ordered the new 24" this weekend (waited for a refresh for about 8 months). sorry to venture off-topic a bit, I am just wondering if the wireless mighty mouse would work with boot camp w/ Vista? Cause i was looking at the specs it said min requirements for the wireless was OSX however for the wired mouse apple mentioned various version of windows. Just wondering if anyone has any experiences and can comment on my concern, thank you in advance.
