Mighty Mouse Problem

Hi all,

I'm having an ongoing issue with my mighty mouse. I'll actively be using the mouse and then all of a sudden my cursor will jump to either the lower left or lower right hand corner of the screen. As soon as this happens I regain control. I wouldn't care about this happening every once in a while but it happens every 5-10 minutes on average and is getting annoying. I called Apple support and they were of little to no help (told me to unplug/restart computer and no other ideas). Has anyone experienced this? Is there something I need to do to calibrate my mouse, or do you think mine is defective? Thanks for your help...

Since its a laser mouse make sure to not have on a reflective surface (cloth or fabric mouse pads work best in my opinion) and if you are already using one then maybe the inside of the laser opening is dusty or dirty. Try using a can'o air to clean it out (or just simply blowing into it would probably work fine).
