Hi everybody

I’am in process to migrate from my iMac intel to a m1 mac mini or mbp m1.
however I do have some application that I use 4-5 times a month, however for some the license key are lost or the account is delete/inactive, but the app is registered and works fine.

I want to migrate all those apps to the new m1 mac And run them under Rosetta. I got f.e, omniplan old version, photoshop old version and Lotus Notes and Omnis. I think Omnis will not work. But I need PS and OPlan. Its for me no problem to place the iMac drive into a thunderbolt external drive for the m1 mac.
what is the best way to accomplishing this? Any suggestions?

thank you.

place iMac drive into thunderbolt enclosure.
use migration assistant to transfer the account and programs.
make sure the option to transfer network settings is turned off

if any of your old programs are 32-bit, they won't run and will need modern replacements.

I'm almost sure licenses won't transfer

Unfortunate - Doesn't work for most licensed apps.

I guess just adding the drive aside and try it out. But I hate it to pay for some new kind of subscriptions if I use it very seldom.

Anyway thank you all for the replies; however if someone know a solution then, welcome.
