Wonder if anyone can help me on this one...
Am currently about 6 months into an 18 month contract on a normal £35 tariff and was going to buy an iPhone from Apple then just use my contract sim in the iPhone.
But the iPhone tariff is slightly different, what with the visual voicemail, unlimited data & wifi, but I read on the o2 forum that it would be possible to migrate to the £35 iPhone tariff to get all this.
Anyway, rang o2 but the girl seems to think it isn't possible, but I've read some people have.

Has anyone done this and how did they do it? Thanks in advance

I did this when I got my dads iPhone. Only thing is you have to start your 18months again.

Nice thanks, but you can do it without having to pay off your existing contract yea?

Yeah I was about half way through an existing 18mth contract. They just started me on the iPhone contract without having to pay a penny

Yea see this is what is strange, you guys and other places I have read are telling me you can do it, but how did you do it because o2 customer services are trying to tell me you can't? I get the impression it is just a case of them not knowing you can / how to do it.
How did you go about it, who did you call etc? Cheers

o2 are pretty handy that way, they will just migrate it for you, but rather then being 6months into a contract, you'll be back to 0months

Go into your nearest o2 shop - they should be able to do it for you. What the shop staff can do and what CS say they can do are usually very different...

Good luck!
