Guys I own a iPhone X and AW S3 GPS and have on order an iPhone XS Max and AW S4 GPS & Cellular.
I'm trying to work out how to migrate to the new iPhone & watch. My other half will be taking on the current phone & watch.
As I see it options are:
1) Backup the X via iTunes on the PC. Set up the XS Max and use the backup from the X. Assuming here the backup takes with it the pairing to the AWS3. Unpair the AWS3, allow it to be backed up and wiped. Pair the AWS4 with the Max and restore the backup.
2) Unpair the AWS3 from the X, allow it to be backed up and wiped. Pair the AWS4 with the X and restore the backup. Backup the X via iTunes on the PC. Set up the XS Max and use the backup from the X. Assuming here the backup takes with it the pairing to the AWS4.
