Ok here's the deal and two problems I have. I have certain software on my computer that was given to us by my college which I do not have the install disc ( I do have the serial # though)

Mainly FCP, AE and a bunch more editing and graphic programs.

My old MBP has Leopard and my new iMac has Snow Leopard. How would I go buy getting my apps from my old HD to my new one? I'm assuming I can clone the hard drive but it uses an older os, will it work and how is the exact process to do this?

Now my second problem is this, I have a couple of eSata external Hard drives that I use to edit my projects. The iMac does not have an eSata connection, so I guess I have to buy a firewire 800 enclosure or remove the imacs optical drive and stuff my HD in there? If I need to buy an external firewire 800 drive can someone recommend me some good enclosures or drives.......

I seriously do not know what the Heck to do and I am asking for guidance and assistance here

thanks

?

This must be the most vague post I have ever seen. I've spent over 80K on education and none of my stuff is illegal. I paid $$ for it. Second your post was not helpful at all. Saying g-raid or this company has enclosures for you is like say apple has a computer you need.

Unless your going to post specific help keep your idiotic comments to yourself
