Hey,
I bought a new MacBook Pro to replace my old 2011 model. I just have a few questions about how I transfer my data. I learned enough from a quick Google search that Migration Assistiant is what to use, but I want to know what it transfers:
  1. System Preferences?
  2. Applications?
  3. Files?
  4. Mail?
Thanks so much for all the help, I really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Saphiria

Per Apple it transfers:

Use Migration Assistant to copy all of your documents, apps, user accounts, and settings to a new Mac from another computer.
