Several members have reported the same thing, but it depends on how tight you wear it. Are you able to tolerate wearing it a bit looser? If so, slipping might occur less.

Well, yeah, that's why I asked if you can tolerate it. You'd be surprised how loose it can be and still be able to measure HR.
I have not been surprised on how well the HR sensor works when the AW is loose. My results are very erratic on the AW unless tighter.
Wonder if you have a defective band? My band stays on tight all the time. If I put it real snug, by the time I go to take it off at night I will have watch and band imprints on my wrist. It doesn't loosen up over time while wearing it in my experiences.
Mine doesn't slip. I do periodically adjust it based on comfort, especially when out on a humid day.
Mine does slip a bit, but I have no problem just tracing my thumb along side the band and adjusting it that way. Kind of tightens it up just right. I still find it much more comfortable than the sports strap.
It is not a defective band, it just depends where you place it. The closer to your wrist, the less it will slip. If you place it a bit higher (like I do) then when you flex your fingers or make a fist you will pull your skin up/down and the watch will come with it a little bit. It's normal.

Ye, I suppose all watch straps have their deficiencies. My wife wears her 38 mm SS with the Milanese Loop off the wrist, further up on her arm, and so she has no complaints about slippage. I just find that it looks and feels better worn on the wrist, and there it does slip in the course of every-day activities.
Maybe a combination of magnets and band cleanliness. The magnet pulls the clasp against the band, but it looks like there is a rubber ring around the clasp the helps it stay in place. If the rubber is not sticky or the band is dirty, it probably has a easier tendency to slide when the magnet pulls the clasp down.
The Milanese loop is traditionally a men's band. However, they've made the mesh more fine in order to make it unisex. It doesn't look feminine on hairy arms.
I believe I understand why some people experience slippage with the Milanese loop and some don't. If you wear the band below the wrist bones (toward the arm), it won't slip, but if you wear it above the wrist bones (toward the hand) it will slip down below the wrist bones in the course of every-day activities.
