I have the original black sport band and thinking of #2. I’ve always admired the leather loop and frankly expected it to be the most common of all the Apple bands. Are there life expectancy issues? I’m still using the original metal band on a 1996 Sector and the 2nd lizard strap on a 1986 Cartier.

Apples OEM leather loop is incredibly comfortable and durable. That's probably my favorite band that I own next to my stainless link band. And the magnets are also very strong. Mine has not shown a lot of wear, but the leather will develop a nice patina.

I like the bands that have a look unique to the AW. By this I mean at a casual glance, not upon careful inspection. The leather loop definitely fits that bill. I love it though I wish it was 99!

My Apple leather loop started to peel apart after two years or regular wear. I've moved to an Urvoi clone of the black link bracelet which I love. The leather loop was great whilst it lasted though. I have a faux leather loop now too but haven't bothered with it as the link is so nice. That said I have a clone Milanese loop on today for a change which is nice, but not as nice as the real leather loop or my link.
