Help

I have no idea how to get the .jar server to open.
I have looked at similar posts but the information is a bit beyond me.

The server.jar file when double clicked on looks like it is about to open but nothing happens.
I dont know how to use terminal or txt files either.

Can someone walk me through how to fix this so to set up a Minecraft server.

I have Bir Sur, iMac.

Thanks for the info. Though i get to step 14 of the wikihow and there is no eula.txt file created.

That is all i get... what am i missing?

Create another plain text file in that folder, name it eula and write eula=true in it:)
Ok thanks, it is always more simple. But now stage 16 it says to open start command again, and nothing happens as to what is described in the wikihow. :-(

As you see in the result in the terminal window, your Java is too old, the update suggestion is accurate.
