OS X Minecraft PE, changing skins on iPad

Hi. My daughter plays Minecraft on her iPad and would like to change skins. I've spent/wasted a lot of time (not to mention paying for an app) trying to do it BUT without success. Can someone confirm that it is possible (or not) to change skins in Minecraft PE on the iPad???

I found a couple of suggestions online, tried it but it failed. Basically, the suggestion was to name the image file the same as the one used by Minecraft but I could not delete the char.png file.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
 
if your ipad/iphone is jailbroken, you probably could do it since you could get into the file structure and change files around
 
The easy way to do if is to jailbreak the iPad wich is a type of hack (I DO NOT RECOMMEND) wich lets you change your skin and other stuff like mods. But there is no real way to do it but in one of the upcoming minecraft updates they are talking about puting in a in game skin changer.

For now it looks like you can't do it without jailbreaking your iPad. I'm in the same boat.
