As title, with html5 being the standard player on YouTube now, I was wondering if anyone using a Mac Mini Late 2012 could check if it can handle those resolutions on playback, be it windowed or full screen without stuttering?

Hoping someone can try for me please?

The machine I'm looking at is the 2.6GHz Quad Core i7, 16Gb & 256Gb SSD.

Thanks!

No, sir, it isn't.

I'm referring to the cpu/gfx that are in the mini (Quad Core i7 & Intel HD 4000), and if they can handle the playback of content from the likes of youtube etc, regardless of monitor resolution, in a stable manner and with no stuttering.

A lot of content nowadays seems to be 1080p 60 fps, and my older mini cannot handle that, just wondering if the 2012 will breeze it and perhaps even handle 1440p/2160p that some YT videos can be played at.

Again I'm not talking about monitor resolutions, just playback performance, either in a window or full screen.

Specifically the 1080p60 option, I know 1440/2160 is scaled down to 1080p but again I just want to know if it'll play without stuttering!

1080p60 is fine, 1440 also. 4k is a hit or miss depending on the source; some stutter, some are smooth. Youtube use a different codec for these last 2; so you get better quality picture even when using a 1080p monitor.
