I've noticed the new mini seems to stutter/struggle with games and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with it so far?
Not that I'm expecting M-chip level performance but there are more stutters/hiccups mid-game than my 14 Pro Max or 2018 11-inch iPad Pro with the same settings across all three, to the point where I have to lower settings on my mini for a smooth experience.

Not that benchmarks mean much but this is what I'm seeing for my phone and 2018 IPP, scores are pretty similar across all three.

and here's my mini

I also ran the stress test for all 3 and the mini IS the most stable (95-96%) so I am a bit surprised.

What games are you playing that have the stuttering issue? I don't play anything heavy on my Mini 7, but am happy to download something (I have Arcade+ if that helps) to test for you.

The worst culprit is honkai star rail, but it’s a huge download (30gb) and you’d have to make an account so no need to do all that if you don’t want to - was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything similar

It may be a Hoyoverse thing. When the M2 IPP came out, Genshin was awful on it until they put out a patch.

I was thinking the same but it also stutters way more in Wuthering Waves compared to the mini 6, which is odd, so I’m assuming at this point it’s just some sort of optimization issue? Not sure
