My Mini Stack hard drive enclosure died on me, so now I'm looking for a new external HD for my Mini. I like the extra ports and the design of the Mini Stack, but while looking through OWC today, I noticed they had the Icy Dock enclosure on sale. It has two FW800 ports and USB, and looks to be easier to get drives in and out of it, since it has a slide out tray. Has anyone used this model enclosure? Any reviews of it?

I have also been looking at a stand for the Mini, and have been looking at a couple of different models by Macessity. There is this one and this model. Has anyone ever used one of the Macessity stands? I'm just curious how sturdy they are.

I've got a Macessity stand for m Macbook Pro, It's wonderful for docking. Macessity makes very nice quality accessories. I recommend them if they fit what you need.

I've used that enclosure for a while now with no issues. It's screwless so drive installation/removal is a snap but it looks like it may be sold out at OWC. I also have a dual bay Icy Dock enclosure that houses all of my media and it has performed flawlessly for over 2 years now.

I don't have either of the stands you referenced but did just pick up this one from OWC and love it. I choose it specifically because it was transparent and visually doesn't add more clutter to my desk--also very sturdy/solid feeling.
