Mini and 42" TV Question

Ok so I decided to connect my Mini Media Server to my 42" Plasma display, but I can not seem to get the audio to come out of the mini and use the internal speakers on my TV? Is there something I need to setup so by using an HDMI connection I can use the audio on my TV which has internal speakers?

In system preferences you can check the sound, output settings. It should be set to your tv and not the internal speaker.

This works for mid with a Vizio.
