Firstly, apologies for bringing up a topic which seems to have been covered endlessly for the past several years but I just cannot find an up to date thread for this discussion.

OK so I have an iMac 27" purchased brand new in January 2010, I have the PS3 Slim and I want to play through my monitor since I don't have much space in my apartment for a big TV as well.

So I heard there are three adapters, Belkin, Kanex and Apogee all at about £100 each.

What I want to know is what is the best solution for this annoying problem, to purchase one of the above...and that is all I need, or is there something else, cheaper, or to give me a better quality display.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge in this area, just had a quick 30 minute surf on the Internet for information on this problem and my brain is now fried!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards.
Will.

You won't go wrong with any of enlisted brand. But I only had actual experience with Kanex XD .. my friend has it and he use it for Xbox360 to be plugged into 27" iMac .. what a nice picture you'll get there

Just don't forget that any current adapter only do 720p due to Apple's firmware restriction, not that the adapter unable to transfer higher resolution.

But the picture is still excellent, and if you don't want to get mess with cables and equipment, those adapters will also send audio signal. So the sound should work with internal iMac speakers or active PC speakers you connect the iMac to

Or get a Belfan that does the same thing for $39.99 shipped from ebay. Shipping may be a little extra if you're outside of the US, but still will be worth it.

I and another person on here have bought it from the same auction and it works great. Using it for my 360. It comes new and wrapped. That's it, that's all you'll need to play, it comes with the necessary cables and a 3 foot hdmi cable.
