I just realized that the mini does not come with an Apple remote! That kinda sucks. Did you guys just order the apple one for $19 or did you get something better?

Yeah I bought like 5 of them a few months ago on the MR marketplace.

And Apple has been selling the remote separately for a while now (over a year and half).

No, new ones doesn't come with it. That's so stupid, that thing costs .24$ to make and Apple sells it for 19$

Do any of the current Macs still come with the remote (iMac)? I use front row every so often but I have a remote that came with my MacBook in late 2007.

iMacs, no

It's an option now, costs 19$, but you can use your MB's remote, it's the same

Nope.

I have one from my Macbook too though, and its more useful now that I have the iMac instead of the G5, but I still dont use it much.

Honestly, the fact that Apple dropped the remotes is just annoying. They are nice to have, especially since I have several Apple TV's in the house and people misplace them because they are no bigger than a stick of gum.

Apple should really update the remote actually. Currently, it has go to be on of the most overpriced Apple Products.

they are no bigger than a stick of gum.
and probably cost about the same to make

Its seriously the cheapest remote Ive ever used, like something from a cereal box. The $20 price is shocking.
