Mini doesn't recignize - frozen & disk jam

My Mini, when turned on shows a blue screen (no mouse) with small folder that has a changing ? mark or a face. I put in a disk (wrong one unfortunately, one to my MacBook Pro), startup disk and not that won't eject! Pressing alt,control,F and O gets me to that writing but ejecting doesn't work and them I'm just stuck there.

Any ideas short of taking for repair? I had a new HD installed few months ago and the thing hasn't worked well or at all at times since ..... Hmmm

You eject by holding the mouse button during startup.

Take apart the CD drive, get the disk out, put the old hdd in and see if it works then.
