Hey folks...been a lurker for awhile reading up on the questions and answers. So decided to join and try to be an active participant and throw out a question..did a search first to make sure it wasn't redundant. I have a Canon GL2 with the darn rewinding issue...but other than that...it works flawlessly. My question is this...anyone have any recommendations on a MiniDV tape rewinder? Did a search on Google etc..I did get hits..but they're usually no-names that I dont' recognize.

Any ideas?

TIA!

Here's a link to a thread on this on another forum:

The reviews on all of these seem to be mixed.

I've used a Sima rewinder at work, it ate one tape but I think that's because the batteries were a bit run down. I got an AC adapter for it, and didn't have that problem again, but since then we got a Sony GV-D900 deck and use that instead.

Here's that rewinder with an included AC adapter (link from that dvinfo.net thread):

I didn't get mine from this vendor, but I think the vendor's been around a long time.

Good luck!
