i am planing on getting a macbook this summer and every once in a wile i like to hook my computer up to my families big screen tv. there is a mini-dvi adapter for s-video and composite

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...re.woa/wo/15.RSLID?mco=75A42EE8&nplm=M9319G/A

but i dont know if it works on the macbook, because it says
"The Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter is designed for use with the iMac (Intel Core Duo) and 12-inch PowerBook G4."

would this work on the macbook?

It should work, I think Apple just hasn't updated that page yet to include the MacBook 'cause they mention the Mini-DVI video adapter more than once in the MacBook specs page. I bought one with my MacBook, but I haven't tested it yet.

Considering the MacBook page links to Apple mini-DVI to Video Adapter M9319G/A -- and so do you.

keep in mind though, the resolution will either be 1260x720, 1360x768, 1366x768, or 1920x1080 so depending on the size of the TV it may not be suitable for everyday operations.
