Hey guys,
I just bought my first Mac its a mini superdrive with a 2G Intel Core 2 Duo and 2G 667M DDr2 SDRAM. here is my problem, every once in a while after using it for extended periods mainly for video rendering, the mouse is either 1. unresponsive or 2. I'll click on something and it will drag the object like I am holding the button down. The pointer will also move real slow and not always but every so often through all of this the translucent volume icon will appear above the dock and the volume will all by itself go to full or mute. If it goes to full it will ding like when you adjust the volume repeatedly. Nothing I do will change the volume issue (if I go in to system preferences and uncheck mute it just re-mutes and turns the volume back down.) Finally I just restart and it will be fine again. There is no rhyme or reason as to when or how it happens. Im hoping someone here has an answer.

Also,Im using the Apple wired keyboard and a Logitech LX5 optical wireless mouse that is run by USB 2.0 with the driver installed.

Thanks in advance,
GF

Keyboard driver problem? You could re-install the drivers for the keyboard (don't ask me, I don't know how :p).

Try a different(Apple) mouse and look if the problem is gone,
if so you found the problem, maybe updating the driver but
I think the driver is already in the extension folder in your system folder and made by Apple.
Try to update to the latest Apple OS,10.5.3,or 4 by now.

Cheers Perry
