Hi

Been using my Mac Mini for a year flawlessly for a year or so. I bought a repro Intel Core Duo model, 1.83 and 1gb ram

I've only used itunes til now, and the occasional film into my plasma through plex. All my choons were stored on an external HDD

I've just changed HDD to a Samsung Story Station, and - I guess by chance - come to notice that the Mac hard drive has only 7gb free space left.

I'm 100% confused, as I cannot find a great deal on the drive that takes up any real space - all my media content is on the external HDD

Can anyone shed some light on this, or tell me what to do / not do? This is my first mac and as it worked faultlessly out of the box, I really had nothing to learn about......until now

Oh dear.

Sorry, numptiee of the week award coming my way

Fros some reason my music folder on the mini had 35gb of music on there, which is kinda off as i have always ripped to the external

Anyway, problem solved

For future reference -- look at the program Disk Inventory X. It will graphically map out your disk usage by file type and location.
