Folks, what is your educated guess? Will there be a mini-LED iPad pro 11” this year? I wanted to purchase a new iPad, but really wanted the best screen possible. 12 inch iPad is too big.

My guess is that either it will happen in the spring next year (2022) or it might also get an OLED screen, which is rumoured for iPad Air in 2022.

The current 11” iPad Pros (2018-2021) all have the best screens on a smaller than 12” iPad.

With how the 12.9" orders slipped very quickly due to supply constraints, I can't imagine the 11" being updated any sooner than sometime mid next year. Definitely wouldn't expect it this year.

I would have liked it if the 11” had got the Liquid Retina XDR display, but that wasn’t the case due to supply constraints amidst the pandemic. I’d say we unfortunately won’t see one this year. Next year most likely unless Apple decides to ditch Mini-LED in favor of OLED then we’ll see that on both the 11” and 12.9” models.

I wonder if they are testing the water for moving people to larger ipads then ditch the 11" Pro and just have the Air with OLED and standard iPad if you want a smaller version. Then possibly even introduce a larger Pro iPad as it gets more "pro" software.

I don't think this is something that we'll see anytime soon. My uneducated opinion is that Apple wanted to get a mini-led model out for the iPad, the next step will be for MBP (16") and then maybe a year or two after that, we'll see it other models

Apple is a Samsung OLED customer if Samsung begins to sell its 11” Tab S8 with an OLED display that will eventually trickle down to an Apple iPad.

The Tab S7+ is just 12.4” weighs nothing and IMO is superior to the 11” iPad Pro. Because it has a 12.4” 120hz OLED display.
