I have a 2018 12,9 IPP, and I couldn’t be more happy about it. It is so amazing. Not a single time in two years have I felt the need to upgrade. I use it, mainly, for hand writing (Notability) and drawing (Paper, SketchBook). The only reason for me to consider upgrading to M1 IPP is storage. Although I still have free space, my IPP has only 64 GB and, maybe, more memory would be required if new functionalities are added within iPadOS 15. Of course, M1 and mini LED are bonuses.

The main concern for me is how this new screen technology will affect the writing and drawing experience. I am sure we will get a lower latency but I read somewhere that the screen feels deeper. I don´t know what that does mean. Perhaps more gap between the tip of the pencil and the screen itself?

Now that many of you have already put your hands on this beauty, would you please share your experience using the Apple Pencil?

I honestly think the only true way is by looking yourself in a store if you can. So much nonsense on here and non of them have even seen the bloody thing in real life!
