Mini LED vs OLED: which TV technology is better?

Can the Mini LED backlight give LCD TVs what it takes to beat OLED?

According to Bloomberg, 12.9-inch iPad Pro will bring mini-LED display in April, despite supply shortages.
But....can mini-LED really beat OLED for everything from brightness, contrast, HDR performance, and response?
I won't upgrade if mini-LED display is the only difference for 12.9 model.

It can beat LCD, but not OLED. OLED can produce true blacks and allow for the device to save loads of battery thanks to turning black pixels off.

As there is no OLED on offer on the iPad Pro line right now it will probably be an improvement over the current displays first of all.
