I'm now to the mac world and bought a Mini Mac (Duel Core Intel), to surf, play itunes and DVD's etc in the family room.

I'm using 2 Mb Blueyonder cable connection through a Netgear 108Mb Wireless Firewall Router (WGT624).

The Mac found the internet connection on the Airnet no problem and all the diagnostic say its working. However when I try and surf to say the BBC website I see the it start to load and the progress bar just stalls part way through the loading. Sometime I get have a page with no graphics etc.

I have a PC and a Toshiba laptop that alo share the connection and surfing is very quick indeed.

I'm at a bit of a loss to what to try next, since the dignostic etc confirm the connection is oK and the connection strenght is about half way to maximum.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I've occasionally had the same trouble while surfing at school with Netgear wireless routers. Web pages seem to stall when loading, and they load, but only partially. You might want to try a different web browser, such as Firefox. I use Safari primarily, but when a web page proves problematic, I use Firefox and never have any problems.

Ah, never thought the brower might cause the problems.

Since I've not been thrilled with the Negear router as it sometimes locks up and randomly drops the connection I shelled out on a Linksys wireless router in PC world.

Thanks for help guys, I must say being my first Mac I'm impressed of how "together" eveything is. It all seems to have be designed to work together.

Once I work out how to hook up the audio to me Samsung LCD TV, I can get all me CD onto iTunes.
