Hello,

I'm a little bit frustrated with iChat. Mini keeps disconnecting it every few minutes after I re-connected it. How do I prevent it from doing that? It's Mini Intel Core Duo 2, bought it in late 2007 (MM 2.1) and it's still on Leopard (not Snow Leopard). Please advise.

Thanks!

Btw, I do have Snow Leopard (full version, not upgrade) and want to install it but I'm afraid to lose some files and photos, etc. How do I save them or would they still be there after installing it? Thanks again.

Re: iChat.... I've always found it to be buggy with holding a connection. You can try another app like Adium and see if that fixes the problem. If not, it might be a greater issue with your internet connection.

Re: Snow Leopard... the default installation is an upgrade, so if you just click through the standard installation process, it'll keep your files in place. That said, it's always best to back up regularly, especially before doing something as significant as upgrading your OS.
