I am going to be in the market for a new computer soon. My software list is: modo(light work), zbrush, PS, corel painter. I just want to know how the mini fairs up for working on large canvases in photoshop (4000x2000px). Also does it run very hot under stress? If I do choose the mini for the next computer I will be waiting for the next revision too.

Thoughts? Thanks :)

i PS on my base mini and 4k x 2k is fine. now the numbers of layers will change things a lot. how big of a file are you talking? are you planning on running the stock HDD or upgrading to SSD? SSD is faster and cooler. heat can get up there if the mini doesn't have room to breathe. im at 126°F (52°C) right now, running Chrome (2 tabs) and itunes playing MP3's, it's been running for 22.5 hours, awake for 8 hours. heat surged to 133°F (56°C) when i launched Mail, but has now leveled off at 124°F (51°C) now.

Also consider that the new IB processors that will likely be in the next version next Summer will probably have a different thermal design.
