Does anyone know if a 2012 Mini can be configured to drive a 20" Apple Cinema Display?
The thing hooks to my G5 PowerPC (and to its predecessor G4 many years ago) through a split cable as follows:
1. AC power pac
2. USB to G5
3. Firewire to G5
4. DVI to G5.
A real Rube Goldberg but it works fine and I intend an early purchase of a maxed out 2012 Mini.
Have a very nice, new Microsoft ergonomic 4000 Keyboard, LaCie D2 Quadra external, and the ancient G5 Mouse, so all I need is this display if it can be made to work.
Any greybeards around that remember this antique?
I've been wandering along through all the generations since my Little Mac in 1984, but it's time to join the current crowd I think.
If it won't work, any recommendations for a similar sized screen?
I have a 30" 1080P HDTV right next to my desk available for HDMI mounted on the wall or desk, but forum comments tell me that's not a solution.
