Hey guys/gals,
Im thinking about getting a new CPU (intels T7600 2.33Ghz) to upgrade my minis speed, i currently have a Core Duo 1.66Ghz on Leopard.

At the same time im also thinking about upgrading the ram from 1 to 2Gb, and the HD- getting a 7200RPM one, undecided as yet to which one.

But then that totted up to about 300 quid or so, various sites=various prices

Should i just wait a lil longer for Snow Leopard and get the newer mac mini.. which ever one that should be.. :)

Cheers for your help

Pete

I would do the ram first. Max it out and it will probably show the biggest bang for your buck.

I wouldn't upgrade the CPU, but thats me. Costs alot last time I checked.

Ultimately it depends what you do with it. I feel the biggest limitation on the older minis was the GMA950 and the max 2 GB ram for Core Duos.

I sold my 1.66 with 2gb ram and stock 80GB HD for 400, putting that towards a new base mac mini that should run circles around it for gaming.

I agree, sell that sucker. The GM950 blows!
