MiniCDs in slot-loading MB/MBP?

Hello all,

I have what I suspect is a stupid question. Are the optical drives in macbookpros supposed to accept miniCDs?

I ask because a piece of hardware I bought recently had its drivers on a miniCD and when I tried inserting it into my drive, it didn't really do anything. I ended up having to shake it out (yay sudden motion sensors).

Do they just not work or was I doing something wrong?

lies, the wii has a slot load and it can use mini cds iirc
