Hi all. The Mac Pro people seem to have trouble with their computers hooked up to monitors using a MiniDisplayPort to DisplayPort connection. There might be issues both with cables and adapters:

I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem specific to the Mac Pro video card or if it's a general issue that affects MacBook Air users as well.

If you're connecting your MacBook Air to a monitor using a MiniDisplayPort to DisplayPort connection, could you please post which adapter+cable or cable (brands, links if possible) you are using with which monitor? Thanks!

Doesn't work for me... I just tried with a cable I bought from newegg. Don't remember the manufacturer though. I may need to setup an appointment with Apple.

+1 for Monoprice. I have several Mini-DP --> DVI/VGA/HDMI cables from them and never had a problem.
