So with the rumours of miniLED coming to the 12.9” iPad Pro this month, there are 2 things I have heard rumours of which do throw up concerns of this new screen tech.

Firstly, the body of the iPad being thicker in order to dissipate the heat more efficiently.

Secondly, a cleaning cloth coming with the 12.9” iPP.

I was under the impression that miniLED was still just an LCD panel, just the way it’s lit is done in a different way, so with this in mind why would apple feel the need to do the above two things upon release?

I feel like this might be one of those beta products which is going to have issues down the line... and improved upon when introduced for the Macs...

Does anyone else feel this way about this new screen tech?

The rumors of it getting thicker do remind me of the third gen iPad. Slightly thicker, heavier, and hotter to drive a Retina Display.

"a cleaning cloth is coming " is a mistake in translation as it was shared by kang who writes everything in chinese language. So kindly ignore that nothing like that is happening

Yeah I have a feeling this iPad is probably going to run quite warm, possibly degrading battery faster...

Ah right, thought it was strange hearing that... really put me off thinking the screen had to be cleaned with a specific cloth etc...

Good we cleared that up. Thick, heavy, iPad that gets hot, with diminished battery life.

You see, this is what a delay will do to site. If it had been announced just a few days ago...... :D

It’s good they are including a cleaning cloth. It should be antibacterial, but I’m not sure.
