I've got a couple of guitar amps and was wondering what distance I should keep them away from my iBook at all times. The amps are 100 watts and 150 watts, couldn't find any information anywhere so any help is appreciated :)

Depends how magnetic the speakers are, not the power rating of the amplifiers :)

I reckon a metre + should surfice.

My dad uses my powerbook nearish his Marshall Tube 300watt amp + cab with no problems.

How about an Amp for a seperates system.

Does an iMac have to be kept well away from them?

Is there anyway of working out the magnitic-ness-ness? Id like to be able to use it about 4' or so away but I'll probably keep it a little further, just in case. I'll probably use the 150 watt bass amp further than that though, and I'll make sure the iBook is n the floor some it doesn't vibrate off my desk ;)
I'm pretty inexperienced with amps, my brother just gave me them both :D my only amp before that was some crappy 10 wattt practice amp for my Squire, he gave me the guitar amp to use with the Fender Strat I'll be getting as soon as I can offord it.

Not unless it has some big bad toroidal transformer that gives some magnetic fields :)
