  • Nope. Apple engineers are still hung over from the 4th of July. Give it another week

EDIT: The Poll should read July 10 . I have no explanation for that one. No I don't do drugs :p

I've always keep away from trying to nail product or update releases. however, I have a strong feeling that there will be, at least, a minor patch this week. Am I alone here in thinking that some of minor bugs, crashes have been significant enough over the past week that Apple is hard at work at developing a minor patch to be released this week?

I'm not going to list the issues. Some are minor, some are major, some aren't even issues at all. Some people are just upset over things they knew about in January (no iChat, sms only for ex).

I don't expect iChat this week or even a flash plugin for Safari. If they do that this week it would be great but that's not what I meant by a minor patch.

I would think we would see a volume patch and some UI fixes coming soon (correct how it just seems to not match with some apps). How soon who knows.

june 11 already happened, and it wasn't a tuesday. july 11 isn't a tuesday either. but about software updates, yes, i do think it will happen, but not this week. i think they're still getting feedback from users, and i think they have to spend some time writing code to fix whatever problems they're addressing. my guess is august 1, also not a tuesday. ;)

Im guessing we will see this in the next week or so. In addition to those fixes I hope we will see included support for syncing Address Book Smart Groups and some minor mail enhancements (change reply to address, send to group).

well feelings yes. Does anyone really have anything else to go on? Put yourself in Apple's shoes. It's a new product, there's still a lot of room for press reviews and they're going to happen this week and so on. If I were Apple I would issue a patch asap. But that's just my opinion.

I have no problem with Apple waiting a little longer to make sure they get more things fixed/worked on.

I don't either with exception to the volume problem - people are going to start returning the phone - and lots of people at that - if this is not fixed ASAP. Im now on my second phone, and still its not as loud as I would like - and to be 100% honest if this was not an Apple product I would have returned it and gone back to my $50 phone a long time ago, just because the volume - this is a deal breaker, the phone has to be loud enough to use in public.
