Hi guys,
Apologies if this has been done before but I can't find the answers I need anywhere online.

Okay, so I'm at uni and connected to the unis internet via the ethernet connection in my room. There is also wireless which is a bit dodgy and my iphone will not connect to it but my macbook pro does... However, I have this app on my iphone which allows me to watch live Australian football on my iphone through my service provider which is unavailable on computers etc.

My question is whether it would be possible in any way to mirror my iphone screen and audio to my tv without wifi. Obviously I have considered Apple TV but have no idea whether it would be possible to use it without wifi. I then considered Airport express but don't know enough about it to know if it would work like this.

Anyone got any ideas...?

Thanks very much,
Carl

Can you use this:

I use the Apple VGA Adapter for my ppts, but that does not transmit sound.

So, I'm going to recommend the Apple Composite AV Cable.

You can also use an application like AirServer on your laptop if you own a macbook and transmit from your phone to your mac wirelessly.

Cheapest way would be to hook up the ethernet cord to your macbook and use your macbook as a wireless router, should be able to find some tutorials on google.

Another option is to just buy and hook up a wireless router and create your own network.

mirroring

I would suggest hdmi adapter.
it takes all your audio and video along with it.
it also offers continuous charging of phone as well.
cost same as component cable.
extra part is charging.

As per above: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MD098ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE

I use this to watch stuff from the iPad and it works perfectly, but I am not sure if it outputs all device sound when mirroring or just when a video is playing through the iOS videos app. I can test it next week.
