Sounds great. Thanks for your responses. I don't know if I have the guts to truly get rid of my family cable in favor of Hulu Plus - I didn't see any Disney or Nickelodeon shows on there that the kids in my family like to watch. But, it is nice to know there's an option available if I decide to go this route.
If I cancelled Family Cable, I'd save around $50 per month, but I lose some of the promotional discounts on my landline phone, so that means my bill would really only go down by around $25 per month. I don't know if it's worth it to be without the cable package for that small amount, and I like having the landline here. Tough decision.
And for some reason, CBS just doesn't offer any prime-time shows on Hulu or Hulu Plus. I know that my cable company offers them On Demand, but there's usually a considerable delay between when they become available and when they've first aired.
Our internet speed is great. I usually get around 2.0 MBps (so that's what, 16 Mbps I think?) download and around 2 Mbps on the upload side (capped). Assuming I'm streaming, that's all or mostly download bandwidth, and I have a network with all Wireless N capable devices. Should be fine. (Cisco E3000 Router, all our laptops except for my iBook have N)
Thanks again for the responses.
