Hello,
I have owned my new MB for about a month, and just last night I noticed that when the lid is closed, it is misaligned with the bottom half by about a half a millimeter. I noticed it because I could feel the edge of the lid ever so slightly hanging over the bottom up be the front right corner. I realize this is a totally cosmetic thing, but it is really bothering me. Is this within the standard variability of the product, or is this something that I should be concerned about? Does everyone else's MacBook lid line up perfectly?

I would think that .5mm falls within the acceptable failure rate of the system. But I could be wrong. I know that mine closes flush in that regard.

Mine doesn't close flush either. Only the middle (where the clamp is) portion actually sits flush, and the two ends of the screen seem to be bent upwards. It's almost like the screen is warped.

I just bought mine on the weekend but should maybe consider taking back as mine has that famous yellowing on the bottom of the screen (15" MBP 2.2GHz).

My brothers MacBook has the same thing. It is basically off axis and it looks funny. He took it in to Apple in Ardmore, PA and they said it was accidental damage. He probably did that because he doesnt keep anything in good shape, unlike me on the other hand :p
